The origin of the word “souvenir” is derived from French and Latin roots, meaning “to remember”. Traveling to a new place can sometimes cause expats to feel a strange mix of nostalgia and displacement combined with the wonder of exploration. I take souvenirs from my homes to new places and I create souvenirs to take back to the place I come from. Souvenirs serve as subjective time machines. Here I present documentation of places I traveled and works I’ve created there.
